Dr. Polina Chernyak and Dr. Mariya Medlenov are the primary doctors leading Seaview Dental's patient experience and long-term approach to care. Their relationship began at New York University College of Dentistry, where both earned their Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees in 2014. Today, they share a commitment to thoughtful recommendations, continuing education, and dentistry that feels personal rather than corporate.
Dr. Polina Chernyak
Dr. Chernyak is dedicated to thoughtful, personalized care built on honesty, transparency, and trust. After practicing in Long Island and Freehold, she is proud to co-lead Seaview Dental, where she has helped shape a patient experience centered on respect, clear communication, and individualized treatment for patients of all ages. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors from New York University College of Dentistry in 2014 and her Bachelor of Science from Stony Brook University, then completed two years of General Practice Residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens and NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, with advanced training in comprehensive care and full-mouth rehabilitation. She continues to pursue advanced education in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Outside the office, Dr. Chernyak enjoys spending time in nature with her husband and two daughters, along with photography, travel, museums, and theater.
Dr. Mariya Medlenov
Dr. Medlenov earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 2014 and holds a Bachelor of Science in biology and psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. She has practiced in Ocean and Monmouth Counties with a focus on compassionate, high-quality care and making treatment as comfortable as possible. Dr. Medlenov prioritizes continuing education so she can offer patients current techniques while maintaining a calm, personal approach.

Dr. Laura Matos
Dr. Laura Matos is a general dentist who provides thoughtful, comprehensive care in a comfortable, welcoming environment. She completed her initial dental training in the Dominican Republic before earning her DMD through the Advanced Standing Program at the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine, then completed a General Practice Residency at Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey. Her clinical interests include restorative dentistry, root canal therapy, implant dentistry, extractions, and crowns and bridges. Dr. Matos values building trust with her patients and taking the time to explain treatment options clearly. She speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Dr. Michael Strassberg
Dr. Strassberg is known for creating simplicity in complex dental cases and for his gentle demeanor. He graduated from Boston University in 1978, then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1982. He served in the U.S. Army Dental Corps before completing his residency in periodontics at Tufts in 1987 and returning to New Jersey to practice. Outside the office, Dr. Strassberg enjoys spending time with his family and dog, along with exercise, music, reading, and travel.
