Pediatric dentistry in Eatontown, NJ
Gentle dental care for children who are comfortable being treated in a general dental setting, in the same warm office the rest of your family already knows. We are not a pediatric specialty practice, so we will tell you if your child would be better served by a specialist.
Same office as the family
Gentle, unhurried visits

Why Eatontown patients choose Seaview Dental for pediatric dentistry
- Family continuity. Your child sees the same team you already trust, not a new practice across town.
- Calm, unhurried appointments. We take the time a first pediatric visit deserves.
- Honest scope. We are general dentists, not pediatric specialists, and we will tell you if your child needs one.

Your child's first few dental visits: what to know by age
The first visit, recommended by age one or within six months of the first tooth, is mostly about your child getting comfortable in the chair and with our team, often just a gentle look and a conversation with you about early habits like thumb-sucking and bottle use. By age two or three, most kids can tolerate a light cleaning and a full exam.
Around age six, the first permanent molars typically arrive, which is when we often discuss sealants to protect those new, cavity-prone chewing surfaces. Every child moves through these stages at their own pace, and we adjust the visit to match, not the calendar.

What to expect
1
First visit - a relaxed introduction to the office, the chair, and our team, with a gentle exam.
2
Cleaning and exam - age-appropriate cleaning, a cavity check, and a conversation about at-home habits.
3
Sealants if needed - a protective coating on back teeth to help prevent cavities.
4
Parent conversation - we walk you through what we found before your child leaves the chair.
5
Follow-up schedule - most kids return every six months, just like the rest of the family.
Is this right for you?
- Your child is comfortable being treated in a general dental setting
- You want your child seen in the same office as the rest of the family
- Your child does not need specialized pediatric or sedation care

Then Dr Port (son) finished the visit with professionalism as well as the entire office. The office/rooms are very clean and staff are very friendly, kind and professional."
"Great Team! You won’t believe how nice they treat you once you’re there! Kelly, Daniel, Camila, Déborah are just wonderful people! I hate when I have to go to the dentist... However, they have the “know how” to make it very easy! Thanks again everyone!"
"The staff especially Angie, are so nice & accomodating. The x-ray tech, hygienists and doctors are the best. I couldn’t imagine myself being in another place. We’ve been here since 2018 because this is the place that really takes good care of me as well as my whole family!"
